Even the New Zealand Herald

... thinks the government's response to climate change is pathetic (1). And things must be pretty bad when the New Zealand Herald is calling you wet and ineffective.

They don't have the guts to say that the bottom line is that our way of life is destroying that of others, and that is morally reprehensible. Instead, their angle is that it is important for New Zealand, for New Zealand's (economic) sake, to be a leader at Copenhagen.

Still, baby steps ...

Though their claim that, "The public has not been well served by the renewed debate on what approach New Zealand should adopt" (2) prompts one to invoke cliches about glass houses and stones.
